"Howard Lester" expounded:
If it's incessant singing, and of a very wide variety of song, it's most likely a mockingbird. Particularly during a full moon. Mockingbirds repeat their phrases three to five times, and will frequently sing all night in their own territories. One year my cherry tree out front was a mockingbird's territory. Lovely! G Now, I'd far rather have a mockingbird than a whip-poor-will. What a monotonous loud song that is! There are some near our house in Maine. Thankfully they're usually in the field across the lane. -- Ann Cold weather/snow fan South of Boston, MA -- This article was auto-posted by the ne.weather.moderated Weatherbot program.
