A suprisingly modest 1.3mm of rain today (up to just after lunch)
after being told for some time that Wednesday was not looking too good. Indeed the charts (to me anyway) looked pretty 'active' so I feel somewhat disappointed. It is not especially windy here either though,of course, the coast is over the hill and some 15 miles away. I will check the figures again tomorrow but did anyone else in the south get or expect more? A very brief rain band passed through around lunchtime Robin |

Hi Rob I got 12mm here today (Yate Nr Bristol) so was pleased with that, mind you because of the hard ground and 20mm rain in the last 2 days many of the local lanes were quite flooded. Very little in the way of wind though either. Dave |

Hi Robin,
Here in South Somerset we got only 5mm of rain. I was expecting more from the looks of yesterday morning's radar, but I suppose it's not too bad! Looking forward to some warmth on Sunday, whilst the east freezes! Jeremy Ilminster, Somerset "Robin Nicholson" wrote in message ... I am not sure whether the east is actually 'freezing' but in comparison with our area, it may well feel so! R |
