Even the Met Office admit they dont have a 100% accuracy rate in their
short term forecasts, let alone in the longer term. The fact the
temperature wasnt exactly what they forecast is just part of the
inacuracy when it comes to predicting something as fluid as the UK weather.

He's not complaining. He's just trying to wind up the professionals in
the faint hope that one will break ranks and prove his many and varied
theories.

Dream on....

I think you will find that is 'right again' - sounds like a very accurate forecast.

If you want to check their accuracy, see if they got *the weather* right or
wrong, not the exact temperature, exact eighths of cloud, exact humidity etc..
Those figures are a guide.

I think people have built up their hopes regarding these expected
storms

The kiss of death really was people complaining they said thundery
showers instead of storms on the forecasts. So they actually forecast
storms

My AM has got a massive range on it, and it's indicating nothing.
AM radio is good because it's real time. I don't care what the computer
models say

So these forecasted storms are going to have to develop, because there
is nothing out there at the moment

I must admit, they do seem to be playing down somewhat the ocurrance
of these storms from what I understood yesterday, at least for my region.
And completely clearing here by Thursday. It wasn't lie that before, they
were even going on into Friday then.

Max of 28.9C here today.

Hardly worth mentioning really, as it's only the 5th highest temp of
the month so far

Why should you be so angry at the Met Office being wrong by 3c? Did you
have a bet on it?

Will you post congratulations on here when they're correct? I doubt it.

Looking at the BBCi predictions, their minima, albeit for Gloucester not
Cheltenham, are often 3-4C higher than turn out to be the case.
