Now, I'm certainly no weather expert, but: "Mr Corbyn said the new storms were being caused by unusual activity on the Sun, which he said influences the Earth's weather patterns. He explained: "We are seeing extra magnetic activity from the Sun and extra particles in the solar wind." "The strength of the Earth's magnetic connection with the Sun determines our weather to a large extent, so we will see solar storms mirrored here on Earth." ? |

There will be pensioners and vulnerable people worried sick because of what they've seen on the front of this 'newspaper'. It's even worse than the Daily Mail, and that's saying something. There are so many factual innacuracies in that story that it's not fit to wipe your arse with. Can this type of thing not be legislated against? Dave in Durham http://nediary.blogspot.com |

stuff snipped
I suspect two words were omitted from the first line of The Express story. They change the way the whole piece reads. I have inserted them below ..... " BRITAIN is facing a terrible winter with the worst storms for decades, so-called experts warned last night." Did you spot them? -- Steve R. Swansea |

Killer winds of up to 100mph will blow in this month, followed by two months of the worst blizzards for years" I caught somebody at work today spreading rumours of these killer gales/blizzards. As I usually do in these situations I quiz them as to exactly where they heard the story. He rather sheepishly replied - I saw it on the telly this morning, they were reviewing the papers...... -- Col Bolton, Lancashire 160m asl |
