Well at one point today, the GFS (metcheck interpretation of) was
showing 2C and sleet shows for 18:00 BH Sunday for this area.
I was discussing this with a colleague whose turn it is for his
syndicates glider on Sunday, looking forward to a days flying he was not
happy! As I said, that run was complete b******, cool maybe, but not
that cold.

According to Paul Bartlett (he of the Bartlett High fame, where is it when
you need it ?) is predicting max temps of 21C for the next few days . Should
we assume the reality will be somewhere between him and the GFS shock, horror
scenario ?

The beggar has taken to lurking - not entirely though. Many a
forecaster on duty this next 5 days must be saying to the Lord....Why
me? Meridional extension over a bank holiday weekend-just what you can
do without. For those working for their pension you may as well stick
to the latest computer runs. U.K. ones of course.
As for me in my dotage I take as many progs as I can get hold of and do
my best.
Cheers
Paul
