I had a similar run at Moulton Seas End (SE Lincs), until the last
couple of hours. Temperature has dropped from 10.0c at 1919 to 5.5c at 2224. Wind has swung from WSW to NNE and is currently averaging 25MPH - not looking forward to the last dog walk of the evening! Paul |

Compared a miserly 110mm last year and 210mm the year before. With the current patterns and the SST's still falling (mainland irish sea cost is now at 8C) I expect the traditional end of Feb deposit might be reasonable this year. Currently just an inch or so of lying snow and -2C (falling under clear skies). I think the anenometer and wind vane have frozen up, both stopped registering variable readings rather abbruptly but at different times (2015 ish for speed, 2130 for direction). -- Cheers Dave. pam is missing e-mail |

Hi, Dave, Doesn't really get going up you way until February does it! Milder for the next few days which is good. Snow and ice are over- rated by some on this ng imho. Phil, does this mean you've been continuously above 10°C since
Friday morning ... something like 84 hours? Philip I have recorded (if my calculations are correct) 72.25 hours where the temperature has been continuously above 10.0C. This was from 07:45 on the 18th to 20:00 on the 21st. ________________ Nick G Otter Valley, Devon 83 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |
