... I have a daughter who used to be scared of thunderstorms but is OK now provided she knows they are coming. She has been warned and is looking forward to them tonight. Jack It's possible you might get something, but I feel the main TS risk area is further NE across East Anglia. For earlier aviation warning purposes a line was initially drawn from Manston to Stansted and up to Peterborough. Either way there's the potential for some high totals in the east as per the flash warnings http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/...ngs.html?day=1 Jon. |

Weather warnings for much of the Eastern half of the UK now for tonight's developments. Not much discussion on here about it though. I'd have thought there would be much banter from experts and amateurs alike about likely spots for the highest rainfall totals, chances of and distribution of storms, and so on. Instead... silence. Calm before the storm? Chris Miss. No storm in the UK -- |

Jack The only time I'll be frittened of TS is when a lightning bolt strikes me ! No, you won't be frit then because you'll be temporarily or permanently incapable of having such feelings - not frittened but frittered perhaps? -- Graham P Davis, Bracknell, Berks., UK.
