Temp 1.1C (overnight low of 0.4C), strong easterly breeze. Overcast
earlier, but recently more broken cloud with some clear sky showing. I've noticed isolated v small snowflakes for the past hour or so but we've now (11.00 am) started to see larger and more numerous flakes blowing in the wind, as darker cloud moves in from the east. - Tom Blackmore, SW Essex |

Temp currently 2.3°C *** Assessment of the severe winter of February 2009 ...... grin blah blah blah... -- Keith (Southend) http://www.southendweather.net e-mail: kreh at southendweather dot net |

Temperature dropping and dew point rising in shower now, as you might expect. Just waitng for the -13C 850 hPa to pass by this afternoon ;-) Dave www.laindonweather.co.uk |

Each flurry slighlty heavier than the previous one. Still not enough to settle. Grass is still green. temp 2.5C |

The interesting thing is, although there's no frost in the ground and it's currently 0.5C (temp fell as the steadier snow arrived), the snow is lying on the concrete and grass. There's very little of it on the ground at the moment but what is there is not thawing. We're about 75m asl, BTW. - Tom. - Tom. |

The radar shows quite an area of precipitation, yet it's not what I'm seeing here, shallow clouds and light flurries :-( -- Keith (Southend) http://www.southendweather.net e-mail: kreh at southendweather dot net |

All evidence of snow has long gone with nothing approaching on the horizon :-( 2.0C Brendan Rayleigh, Essex |
