Default any snow lovers sick of the snow yet?

Personally, I'm looking forward to the next lot about to move in to
the South East for tomorrow. If nothing else it will be nice for all
the ice and slush to be covered up... Just hope that the current dew
point goes a lot lower...

I recon it will be slush and muck in the SE, especially in
Southend-on-Sea where I don't expect to see much snow at all.

Snow is great; slush, muck and very cold rain is very much less fun!

Yes.
I'm sick of seeing almost everybody else getting it and not me.

'Proper' snow here is impossible in the set-up we've had this week.

Well I must admit I don't particularly like driving in/on it and the
prospect of possibly not being able to get home, after a 12 hour shift, like
this morning, isn't much fun either. Strangely it never really worried me in
Bracknell even though I had 77 miles to commute and did it several times in
heavy snow. Guess I'm a little less brave/stupid now.

Jon.

On Boxing Day 1962 I drove the 200 miles from Basingstoke in Hampshire to
Cardigan in West Wales in my Mini Van. By the time I got to Swindon about 1 inch
of snow, Gloucester about 3 inches and Radnor Forest in the dark and about 4
inches was 'interesting'. All this time it was snowing quite heavily and didn't
stop until I reached the coast road at Aberystwyth. It took me eight hours
rather than the normal five.

There's no way that I'd do that now and I put that down to lack of bravery.

Is it lack of bravery or an increase in the wisdom that comes with age?
50 years ago I would drive long distances in poor conditions without even thinking
about it. Today I think too much about it.

And lack of the M4, no doubt!
