Looking through the METARs I notice that apart from the SE anywhere north of say Suffolk, is reporting rain, from East Midlands, Cambridge, *Birmingham, Newcastle, to name a few. Temps ranging from 3-5 C up there. Be interested to see whether our cold air says put as this lot moves south. Keith (Southend) -------------------- Because S.E corner was about 526 dam this morning moving towards 530dam as you move N & W. Will probably turn to rain or peter out here this afternoon. Dave Was just looking at the METARS around Europe. Belgium, France, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway coastal all seem ot be +2 to 4°C atm ;-( Keith (Southend) The lightest of rain here in Dawlish. I walked into town and back to post the Christmas cards I'd finally written, looking in vain for evidence of a snow grain, or snowflake on my coat, but at 5C - no chance........yet! I'm very jealous of the snow being reported around London |

No sign of it turning to rain- which I had expected. Temperature 0.3c and the snow is now settling on roads, trees, pavements etc. A splendid sight! Peter Clarke Ewell, Epsom 55m |

Temperature 0.2°C after last night's min of -7.1°C, the lowest December min since 1999. With any luck it'll stop or turn to rain because I have to (= want to) go out tonight. One of the things about global warming is that we are seeing less of it. Good. It's cold messy stupid stuff. Tudor Hughes, Warlingham, Surrey, 556 ft. |
