uk.sci.weather (UK Weather) (uk.sci.weather) For the discussion of daily weather events, chiefly affecting the UK and adjacent parts of Europe, both past and predicted. The discussion is open to all, but contributions on a practical scientific level are encouraged. |

Minimum of -7.0C was reached at 07.50, here.
The day had started brilliantly clear and cloudless. At around 07.45, a fairly thin low cloud moved in from the north. I say moved in, but I'm not sure if it was forming in situ or not, and if so what effect might have produced it - I was driving into East London when one minute it was perfectly clear, and the next cloudy - I had a good view to the SW and it seemed to be everywhere. Looking at the records here, its formation corresponded to the min temp (or it stopped the temps going lower still); it's still there and moving surprising fast across the sky, but with more gaps now in the overall sheet. Still - 4.1C (09.25 hrs) - Tom Blackmore, SW Essex 80m asl |

I think it is some of the remnents of those snow showers from Norfolk/Suffolk. Keith (Southend) |
