I think it's a joke. Dawlish has been threatening to send

Not happening. It looks like a fairly short-lived cooler spell, then a
reversion to a zonal spell, on the gfs with a European high and the
jet to our NW is the most likely outcome for much of the second half
of October. Again, see what the ECM says later. What it doesn't look
like is cold.
