Default SE Snow tonight ?

The simple answers to those two questions is "yes" and "yes".
Here's a few sites I've found that might help a bit.

http://www.theweatherprediction.com/habyhints/336/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Precipi...meteorology%29

I think the last one looks the most useful. Also includes "thundersnow" and
"lake effect snow".

Thanks Graham.

Default SE Snow tonight ?

Looks like it's starting to get organised in the South East now on the
latest radar, but will it make it all the way to South Devon?

Early I know, but it appears to be more over Kent and not further
north over Essex. Although on the radar it almost appears to be
developing rather than coming from any particular direction.
Not much here yet, still small grains which I think most of which is
blowing off the roof!

Current temp 0.0°C
DP -2.5°C
Wind ENE 8mph

Yes, Kent and Sussex turn tonight I think, looks like it will miss Essex
but can't complain after the last couple of days.

Don't give up on it just yet. I see the snow over Germany has moved west and
is now showing up over the Netherlands to the north of the Belgium belt.

We're having a little dusting here at the moment. Not enough to turn paths
white - more of a light grey so far.
