all ****ing wrong as usual
super computer my ****ing arse! forecast for london saturday "sunny spells and showers" actual , 8 octas of the wet stuff for 24 hrs On 27/04/2012 4:49 PM, Nick wrote: The Met Office text forecast seems to suggest continuous rain throughout the weekend, except perhaps Saturday morning. However during the majority of daylight hours on Saturday, the front seems a bit far away and for the Southampton area my own assessment based on the weather charts would be cloudy but dry. Then by Sunday 1300, the cold front has cleared to what looks like some extreme returning form of a Pm airmass, suggesting a showery afternoon. The persistent rain I would guess would be focused on the hours of darkness Saturday into Sunday morning, say between 1900 BST on Saturday to 1200 BST on Sunday by the looks of the Met Office charts. Is this a reasonable assessment? Hope so as I do want to get out this weekend... Nick |

It was very different from the forecast for London and the SE that I saw. -- John Hall Johnson: "Well, we had a good talk." Boswell: "Yes, Sir, you tossed and gored several persons." Night time was extremely windy but (given my bedroom window faces northeast) not that much rain. The heaviest rain fell during daylight hours this morning (and the wind died down) and is still continuing but a strange, bizarre lightening of the sky is advancing from the southeast ;-) With luck we'll have a solid 5 hours of dry bright weather between about 1500 BST and sunset, and while early May doesn't look that great, with a bit of luck it'll at least be a bit closer to the norm for the time of year, something that the Met Office outlook indicates if you read between the lines.
