This summer just gets worse.
Incessant rain and now tropical humidity.

A lot of cloud around (quite low) with sunny breaks.
But dewpoint is +19.1C and temp. is +19.6C giving a wet-bulb of +19.3C.
I hate this sort of weather as nothing dries. The patio remains wet in the
shade and the grass is sodden. You cannot do any work outside without
breaking into a sweat. Going for a walk is no good for same sweaty reason.
It encourages laziness :-(
I suppose I could go down to the beach for a swim but at this time of year
it is teeming with people and I prefer more solitude.

Roll on Winter!
I'm utterly fed up with summer already.

I wish it was Sep. mind :-)

Bah! Miserable ol' you Will.

I love it! The warm evenings/nights have been so pleasant with minimums
generally between 15C & 19C for the last couple of weeks. No duvet
required. And you can sit outside/lie in the hammock until dark without
feeling cold.

Gorgeous day now the low cloud has burnt off and the sun's out. Still a
fair bit of cloud around but lovely nonetheless.

Good SST warming weather with offshore temperatures now around 19C,
warmer along the shore. Low tide at 13:00, plenty of sand around so a
dip is in order methinks.

Always quiet at Budleigh, Will, if you want a swim in the sea.

(11:15), 21.2C, RH 90%, DP 19.6°C, 1013 hPa (Rising), Wind 6 mph S.

DP now +20°C

Lots of Jersey Tiger and humming-bird hawk moths flying around today.

29.4C here, Will. Confident that my max for this year of 30.3C set on
July 25 will be broken

On nights this warm, I barely even use a sheet!

When it gets over 15C outside at night I'm on top of the bed - no sheets.

As I said, this weather encourages laziness :-)

If you think it's hot where you are, you should try coming over this
direction. I can assure you you would not want to be living in
Sussex/Surrey at the moment. :-)

I can well imagine. I tolerated the incessant hot, dry summers and mild
winters in the SE for 27 years!
A very warm 23C here today in Haytor - phew!
