We're in for some pretty disturbed weather at 10 days.
**At T+240, on Wednesday 22nd Nov, the UK will be experiencing weather with an Atlantic source. Gales are likely in the NW and spells of heavy rain and strong winds are possible in other areas. These will interspersed with calmer spells, with night frosts, only in transient ridges of high pressure. Typical zonal weather.** |

That wasn't called for. I wonder would you use that turn of phrase face to face. Before you say Paul uses the same sort of language (though I suspect he would use the word "idiot"), two wrongs don't make a right.
Can't we leave the handbags at home and play nice? |

![]() Could you clarify? "AT T+240"... "ON Wednesday 22nd [October]" ... there will be gales/strong winds and heavy rain interspersed with calmer spells and night frosts in ridges of high pressure... All in one day? Stephen. |

There was a debate\argument about this a while back, eventually Paul said that his forecasts were intended to be for that specific day, rather than describing the genereal weather type of the days immediately prior to and following it. I could be wrong, but that's what I remember. -- Col Bolton, Lancashire 160m asl Snow videos: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3QvmL4UWBmHFMKWiwYm_gg |

Ooooooo nicely snipped and re-parcelled minus the punctuation, Stephen! Bet you can't forecast which actual element of an Atlantic regime will be affecting the UK at any one time in 10 days. * That is, I'm afraid, utterly impossible in a mobile situation. However, it is quite possible that areas of the UK could experience all that in 24 hours, in such a fast-moving flow.
PS Who do you work for? PPS What do you think will be the exact weather in 10 days in the UK? |

There was no misleading snipping. OK, so on 22 October (and night of 22-23 October, I presume) there will be gales in the NW, strong winds elsewhere, heavy rain, calm spells in transient ridges (plural) of high pressure and night frosts (air or ground?) Thanks for the clarification.

Standard Dawlish forecast, confusion in the extreme. One day he'll understand and realise that communication demands clarity.
