Obviously it has to be a manual Met Office site to qualify, so that cuts out a lot of places!

Congratulations. Sadly I live in a white area of the chart.

Yeah, but altitude is cheating ;-)
I want another list of places below 100m - I might even scrape into that
one!

The far NW of Scotland gets quite a lot. But of course these are
just snow (and indeed sleet) falling days, not snow *lying* days.
There must be many winter days which give sleet/snow but with
no significant accumulation.
The map for 'snow lying' must look quite different and far more
biased towards more eastern areas.

"There's an east wind coming, Watson."

"I think not, Holmes. It is very warm."

"Good old Watson! You are the one fixed point in a changing age.
There's an east wind coming all the same, such a wind as never blew on
England yet. It will be cold and bitter, Watson, and a good many of us
may wither before its blast. But it's God's own wind none the less, and
a cleaner, better, stronger land will lie in the sunshine when the storm
has cleared."

I agree with the 100 m list, we'd be well up there as well, with my modest 70 m.

Looking at that I think if it was just for the five snowiest spells
during that time frame you and I would be one of the darkest blue areas
