After a chilly night for the tip of Cornwall (Min 10.9C) a very still morning with a glassy sea - the 1st time I've been able to say that for a while.
We are just NW of the frontal cloud, so good sunny spells this morning. Waves running along the front causing the high cloud to just clip the sun at times. The 1st signs of a NE setting in now (noon) The breakwater picture here http://www.sennen-cove.com/index.htm brings back memories of jumping of the breakwater 50 years ago, some things never change. (Given that the depressing ongoing cold radiation topic now has 192 posts, when everything that needed to be said was said quite clearly in the 1st 19, I thought that including it in the subject line might get more people to read a weather post). Graham Penzance If you find a thread 'depressing', why do you read it, when you don't have to? The title of group moderator doesn't have an owner on usenet and never will. *)) |

You can see here that it was caused by the Jet Stream :-) http://virga.sfsu.edu/gif/jetstream_atl_init_00.gif We are just NW of the frontal cloud, so good sunny spells this morning. Sorry about that! I knew that cold radiation existed, but I thought the only way to find out why was to have it out with Dawlish. What I did not know was that everyone else, like Dawlish, was convinced it did not exist too. Initially, I thought I would get support from some quarter :-( But it is sorted out now, to my satisfaction at least. See my latest reply to Martin in the Pictet thread - no need to go through those 192 posts. Let's hope it does not reach 200 :-) Cheers, Alastair. |

![]() If you find a thread 'depressing', why do you read it, when you don't have to? Well, not being psychic I was not aware of it's pointlessly repetitive content until I'd read it. It started fine with clear responses from RedAcre, Stephen, Bernard, Alan & others, and then should have stopped. The title of group moderator doesn't have an owner on usenet and never will. What the f**k are you on about now?! What the hell has that got to do with my post? (Which unlike yours contained some reference to the weather). Christ you're irritating. Graham Penzance |

For 'having it out with Dawlish', read, making a complete fool of myself by exposing my lack of a science education. It is 'sorted out'?? Really?? You mean, the kind of 'sorting out' that involves now knowing that not a single person in this newsgroup thinks you are correct and knowing there is not a single piece of published science that supports you, about 'cold radiation', yet still continue to believe exactly what you did before. i.e. that cold radiation exists. laughing PS You do realise that your last comment on the Pictet thread was to threaten to put Martin Brown into your killfile. Just hilarious. Cheers, Alastair. |

Graham Penzance What, you didn't read your own post about complaining about contributions to another thread? Sorry, I was under the impression you wrote it. To explain: your post contained reference to 'cold radiation' in title and content and you whined about not being happy about the 'cold radiation' thread's length. Hence my 'group moderator' comment. The length of the thread and its continuation has nothing to do with you, but you thought you'd add your two penn'orth on a different thread under the guise of a weather post. If you'd just posted about the weather, I can assure you you'd have got no adverse comments, but you knew exactly what you were doing. Please feel free to write whatever you wish, but try not to throw a foul-mouthed hissy fit and chuck your toys out of the pram when you don't like someone's reply to what you have written. :-) |

What, you didn't read your own post about complaining about contributions to another thread? Sorry, I was under the impression you wrote it. Now you've completely lost me. I haven't made a post in the 'Cold Radiation' thread, and where I have named people in this thread I was positive. The title of group moderator doesn't have an owner on usenet and never will. Still can't see the connection, please up your medication. I think if anyone had any needed to object to my post it was Alistair, but he was polite as always. You chose to make an irritating dig as you have made a habit of in many of my posts, no one else who contributed to the Cold Radiation post felt the need to. All this because I complained at the needless length of a thread! Please feel free to write whatever you wish, Thank you F*ck Off pr*ck Graham Penzance :-) |

Water and duck's. *)) I think if anyone had any needed to object to my post it was Alistair, but he was polite as always. Except for being as foul as you have been. Again, you don't wish to see that. You can't control yourself and that is not a pretty sight. You opened this thread with 'Cold radiation' in the title; not me. As I said, you knew exactly what you were doing. You chose to make an irritating dig.... Irritating to you. It was well deserved after your unwelcome criticism - and it contained no foul language; unlike yours. as you have made a habit of in many of my posts, no one else who contributed to the Cold Radiation post felt the need to. Except this who have described him as a crank, stupid and nonsensical etc. - you missed those because you don't want to see them. All this because I complained at the needless length of a thread! And I complained with no venom at you; as I have every right. Geddit now? Probably not. Please feel free to write whatever you wish, I did. Please be as foul-mouthed as you wish at any time. Thank you You are welcome. F*ck Off pr*ck You just couldn't help yourself could you? Why use the asterisks? Foul and abusive, Penzance I'll always reserve the right to reply when abused, but you've written a beautifully eloquent reply yourself, exposing your real self. If you do this to one, at that incredibly mild level of criticism, you will have done it to many people you don't like. Haven't you? |

A little bit cooler here last night with 10.6C but that's nothing that unusual for here on the river valley floor. I thought today was going to be the 2nd gloomy, cool day of the summer so far but in the end the cloud broke up and the sun came out this afternoon but it was so hazy the temperature barely lifted and only reached 18.7C. The coolest since the rainy day of the 24th July. -- Nick Gardner Otter Valley, Devon 20 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |
