A NW airstream behind a depression can give snow showers even at lowed levels and maybe that's exactly what we'll have on the 31st. |

Cheers -- Jim Jim . Is that an 'Hurrah' for global warming ;-) Well actually yes. I quite like the idea of no real winter ! Pity Climate Change can't rid us of the dark days which I really hate. Three months of dark days almost done now, the nights are getting lighter at last, I'm feeling a little better already. Maybe that's why I don't mind if February gets cold, it's lighter and can't last too long !! Yipppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !! As a kid in 1963 I thought the winter great at first but then it became boring and very cold. Hated cold weather ever since. -- Cheers Jim |

Up here in the Isle of Man we're wide open to NW wintry spells, snow isn't allowed in my little world ok ? ;-)) -- Cheers Jim |

I have to say though, to really long for cold, bitter, dormant conditions where nothing happens for days on end is rather daft, unless you like being married that is . |

**It'll do what it says on the tin** 😀 Not much doubt here. It did what it said on the tin. Rapid changes colder to milder. Only a month of meteorological winter left. A possible colder plunge at 10 days, but nothing to suggest extended cold and snow before then. Saw light covering of snow in Yorks late yesterday, but all gone with this morning's cloud. That'll do me, as we are travelling again today. |
