Spring flowers have come out ridiculously early. What are you going to
have out when Spring comes?

Summer flowers, maybe.

Looks like a wonky operational run:

MODELL=ecmwfts&VAR=tmp2&TIME=201601270000&TABLE=0 &ZOOM=0

....or does the added resolution of the operational run add something
the control/ensembles don't see in its horizontal (and more importantly
vertical) resolution?

Possibly, as the 12Z operational; runs is very similar.

12Z JMA looks like going cold too.

I'm now very, very interested. Not necessarily in the evolution but why on
earth the operational run has stuck to its guns. Look forward to seeing
what the ensembles say: have some come into line?

And it's still quite the outlier, it would seem.

Ecm continues with an interesting cold outlook this morning, gfs still
shying away a bit. Atm it seem that any cold spell is looking short
lived before the Atlantic dominence gets in.
