I want a series of nice big high pressures over Scandinavia from now until October or thereabouts, with an occasion short-lived low between times to provide enough rain for me not to have to water my garden or the farmers' crops to fail or the reservoirs to get too low. We've had all fours seasons here today. I can cope with two (spring and summer) but I have had enough of winter to be going on with. At least the frost and snow warnings that were threatening to affect my journey to and from Aberdeen tomorrow have been removed. Anne PS, Trevor, I remember snow on 2 June at sea level in Wester Ross in the early 1970s, I forget which year. |

Two inches of snow cover this morning (near Dundee). The daffodils don't like it at all.

The bluebells and daisies love it, the daffs are long gone. Every day for the last week has exceeded 11 deg C. But I miss the snow since I moved down here. -- Dave Fareham (W) |

Daffs are at their prime just now. These small islands have a marvellously varied climate:-) -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 303m a.s.l. http://peakdistrictweather.org |
