Default Storm Hector

So Low Zoey has been named storm Hector, the latest named storm on record; the previous latest storm of the season was storm Katie 25th to 28th March 2018.

Sorry, storm Katie was in 2016, of course, not 2018!

So it is potentially going to be a bit of a blow then?
50mph predicted here which is a lot for mid summer.

There is apparently a yellow warning of wind for the north but the new
BBC website makes it so low key I barely noticed it!

I think I will lash anything down that might blow around. Not much I can
do about the trees though which are in full leaf at this time of year.

Watch out for any dodgy diseased horsechestnut branches - they can snap
like carrots under gusty wind loading and without any warning.

GFS 12Z run of the isotach plots has brought the wind enhancement
starting earlier over the Atlantic and allowing the stronger wind
enhanced section to swing down a bit farther south over middle Eire and
so more wind for middle England tomorrow.

Do other trees give a warning? :-)
