With the record high temperatures forecast for the next few days, Londoners will be regretting not voting for Brexit.
The nearer the continent you are the more unbearable. Everyone needs to move to Cornwall. Only joking. Len Wembury |

The rest of this week is to be endured, not enjoyed.......and I'm due on the 1st tee at midday tomorrow :-( -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 303m a.s.l. https://peakdistrictweather.org twitter: @TideswellWeathr |

Assuming Brexit does actually happen, what will happen to 'French import' type thunderstorms, Will they become less frequent due to imposed tariffs? -- Col Bolton, Lancashire 160m asl Snow videos: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3QvmL4UWBmHFMKWiwYm_gg |

![]() Assuming Brexit does actually happen, what will happen to 'French import' type thunderstorms, Will they become less frequent due to imposed tariffs? -- Col They already have become less frequent, frightened off in advance presumably. The proof is an article by Stephen Burt in the current COL (not you, Col, but the Climatological Observers Link bulletin). Anyway, I assume that Len puts his tongue-in-cheek posts here and the more serious ones in another place. There are so many ways to answer his post - as someone of Welsh origin living in the warmest part of the country - not a Londoner and not (quite) in London. Even 25 felt awful today - ten more degrees by Thursday at least! It would be most improper of me to put any hint of politics in the body of my reply of course. Or to put it another way, London will experience the same conditions that people pay thousands of pounds to experience on holiday in the Med :-)
Hot London days can be trying and sleep is tricky but warm evenings transform the city into something rather special |
