Stop being perverse! Easterly winds are not good times. Thankfully, I
shan't be at my parents on the Yorkshire Wolds, (485ft asl) where it will blow very thin, as there is next to no place to get out of the wind but on the east coast this is NOT condusive to a easy life. Can someone explain to me the fascination of certain members of the group with snow? It's cold, slows everything up, makes the roads dangerous and stop you doing what you want to do. And thats preferable? grumpy old man Rob Hull who hates cold weather, and isn't looking forward to the weekend nguk.. wrote in message ... http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/maps/brwind144.jpg |

However, I appreciate some do like hot weather but reading here in the summer, I could use your exact words with just one changed: "Can someone explain to me the fascination of certain members of the group with heat". It is far easier for anyone to negate the effects of cold weather than it is with hot weather - extra clothes, heating ones home etc. Any worthy neighbour living next to an elderly person(s) can easily make sure they are looked after during any cold spell so they don't have to go out etc. -- Pete (who hates heat above 25C) Malvern Please take my dog out twice to e-mail --------------------------------------------------------------- The views expressed above are entirely those of the writer and do not represent the views, policy or understanding of any other person or official body. --------------------------------------------------------------- |

I can't do anything about it, so i have to live with it. So we both have medical reasons for not liking certain weathers! :-/ I take your point about heat though cos I don't like it above 25C either, for I think a good temperature is about 22-23C in summer. grumpy old Rob hull |

Rob.
Perhaps you could explain what is so great about mild wet and miserable southwesterly airstreams when they occur, which incidentally, is far too often. At least the occasional easterlies give us a well earn't break from the persistent gloom although they are often cold. Best regards. Len. "Rob Overfield" wrote in message ... Stop being perverse!
