Hey....
I was going to post this...
But decided that if I did, then it would influence the future and wont
happen.
Now you've gone and posted it... :-(

If it doesnt happen, I can blame you,

Brendan

I know what you mean, but lets assume it will get even better, just for a
change. Please, please, please.

Could someone explain to me what is so exciting (i'm a noob)
Does this mean a forecast of very cold temps for the end of the month?
And what do the coloured lines mean on the last image?
Is there a GFS FAQ anywhere?
thanks :-)

These charts are pure fantasy at this range, especially in the current
set-up.

As part of the FAQ series for this newsgroup, the following may help:
follow the link for 'Westwind' then 'Explanation', and I think most of
the main charts are covered.

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/booty.w...dels/sites.htm

If there is anything then not clear, try the FAQ or Glossary ... also
the alphabetical index from the main FAQ page (as in my sig file) may
help.

Martin.

I've been watching these charts for a long time, and often they
can be highly erratic at this range.
However if in the next few days this model sticks with the change in
in set-up, I usually find it has much more validity.

One to watch of course, but far too early to get excited

Of course the set-ups are possible.
The only question is if they would produce the level of cold/snow
today that would have ocurred a few decades ago.
