Col, I strongly disagree, we never see charts like that these days. To be
fair we haven't seen many like that during the last century but they did occasionaly happen. ---------------------------------------------------------- "Col" wrote in message ... The only question is if they would produce the level of cold/snow today that would have ocurred a few decades ago. What factors would make that impossible in the UK yet still possible in New England? I suppose you can argue that New England has less of a maritime influence when the wind is from N or NW than is the case in the UK whatever the wind direction.. -- John Hall "Banking was conceived in iniquity and born in sin" Sir Josiah Stamp, a former president of the Bank of England |

![]() "Smog" wrote in message ... What's all the fuss ABOUT ?????? (another noob) Please can someone explain PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Well basically, the charts Neil posted show a very good potential cold set up. We get a post like this every couple of weeks but because they are for two weeks from now they very rarely materialise and smallish changes can ruin the cold potential. Really , they should be ignored except for those that always need hope. (I could be one such!) However, to say they will never happen is also daft because ANYTHING can happen, it's just not that likely these days. Stick to two days ahead this week because that might be ok! Dave |

From the wetterzentrale.de site how do you actually get to these
gif's? Obviously you can select them each day, but I can't find how you got there :-( Keith (Southend) ******************************** 'Weather Home & Abroad' http://www.southendweather.net ******************************** COL Station for Southend-on-Sea http://www.wunderground.com/weathers...p?ID=IESSEXSO1 ******************************** Reply to: kreh'at'southendweather'dot'net All mail scanned for virus's using Norton 2003 On Thu, 15 Jan 2004 17:32:42 +0000 (UTC), "nguk.." wrote: Quick before its gone! http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn3121.gif http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn3122.gif http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn3242.gif http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn3243.gif |

In IE, (which I don't use for this purpose), I *think* you right-click, then use 'Properties', then copy and paste the url. (But others may have better ways to do this). Martin. |
