Default 5 day forcasts

I cannot find a 5 day forecast for anywhere in England on the BBC or Met
Office web sties that mention snow. Even the temperatures are not that cold.

Last week I heard on the radio (Jazz FM): Snow and -15C for London. Didn't
believe it then certainly don't belive it now.

Cold and snowy winters are a thing of the past. We better get used to it.

I'd ignore the 5 day forecasts if I were you - the Met Office can't
even consistently get the next DAYs' forecast right, let alone for 5
days hence.

That was a Wind Chill value (which was no doubt delberately dropped by
the incompetent media in order to give the headline a bit more
(inaccurate) interest. As usual).

Cold and snowy winters are a thing of the past. We better get used to it.

I fear you are correct. Think I'll emigrate to Canada.

Hi Bill,
The BBC and METO forecasts are a joke unfortunately. Why the BBC and METO
bother publishing these is beyond me, because it is unfair to Joe Public and
people like yourself who do not know how terrible they are.
Most of the guys who follow the weather know this and don't bother looking
at them.
I just looked at the 5 day forecast for Braemar.. say no more.
I think it is sad, because the METO obviously work really hard and have a
difficult job, and this 5 day forecast only discredits them to Joe Public,
particularly when it would be something easier to get right.

Well, you certainly shouldn't believe -15C for London, as that would be
a very rare event. Snow is a possibility, though.

Cold and snowy winters are a thing of the past. We better get used to it.

Rarer than in the past, certainly, but sooner or later we shall have
another.

5 day forcasts are hopeless.. the most accurate site I can find is
www.accuweather.com

Don't even mention www.weather.co.uk.. they are appalling..
