Default Avbrief radar problems

Hello,

Is anyone else getting this?

I can sucessfully enter my username/password to get to the radar index, and
view the individual images.

However, when i go to view any of the animations, I get asked to enter my
username/password again and after doing so, no animation appears, only a
further request to enter my username/password.

Help!

Jim.

I did dens an e-mail to support so maybe that cleared the problem.

Hi Jim,

I had the same problem last week as well, so I emailed Avbrief support.
This is part of the reply.

" Yes, I'm afraid we are experiencing certain authentication difficulties in
respect of our radar services for Radar-Only Members. These may have

resulted from measures taken to stop unauthorised free access to these

services by people using links obtained from newsgroups and the like.

Unfortunately, legitimate access has also been affected in some situations.

We do apologise most sincerely for any inconvenience caused and are working

to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. It is apparently a complex

problem (for historical reasons) - and we wish to resolve the issue on a

permanent basis rather than simply making a quick fix which may have other

security implications".

They were very helpful and resolved the problem for me almost immediately

Regards,

Rob

Yes, it was, but just to clarify, no one is suggesting that anything
underhand happened. We found that it was possible to access certain radar
images with direct URLs, as sometimes are posted here to point out features
of particular frames. In shutting that door, we inadvertently restricted
access to the animations for some users.

Sorry, we'll try to get it fixed as soon as we can.

This should now be fixed. If the problems persist, please let
know.
