Default Wr Hampshire - snow

Rather unexpected snow in Fleet. Started with small flakes, then hail,
now beautiful large flakes ))

Just been checking the 8 hour radar animation, your shower seems to
have been the remnants of a shower cluster that came ashore before 5
am near the Wash. It finally died out just before it reached me but
one light shower seems to have got through via Southampton to
Christchurch/Bournemouth. There doesn't seem to be anything
significant left to head our way now...

Thats a shame Dave. It only settled briefly on the grass but it was
lovely to walk in.
Maybe next winter eh?

That shower left me with 2CM on the Wash coast at 07:00 this morning - only
remnants left now...

I think you're right Sarah, a day with snow lying in March really
would be a turn up for the books down here! I think I can safely put
the sledge away now - but at least many of us will have the memory of
that wonderful evening of thundersnow!
