April 16th 2004 - Cloudy with light rain on and off, now becoming heavier.
Maximum temperature - 9.9C.

April 16th 2003 - Clear and sunny all day. Maximum temperature 25.8C.

I can. That's just the variability of the British weather.
The temperatures last year were exceptional for mid April, but
the conditions I quoted for this year although rather cool were
not unusual.

Do most people agree this year will generally be a cold, wet year?


Nobody knows, and anybody who claims to is a liar
Certainly I would say this summer is unlikely to be as hot as last year
but statistically that's not much of a prediction.
