.... in Holland tonight, as occluded front passes ; but what about parts
of the British Isles?
I suppose you have more chances of clear spells, particularly Ireland,
Scottish westcoast, North-west England and Wales?

To all the lucky ones: enjoy the sight :-).

I guess we were quite lucky in Athens then! Skies cleared out a few minutes
before the start of the eclipse and high clouds emerged only a few minutes
after the end of the event! The afternoon was quite thundery so there was
not much hope there would be such a nice interlude of fair weather just when
it would be needed before tomorrow's deterioration. Perfect conditions for
the first evening out in the veranda with friends, decent food, drinks and a
lovely view to the moon.

Oh, frustration :-) !! Its about time to move to Greece -- could you find me
a nice little cottage, Yannis??
Well, I'd miss my ice and skating in the open, however with this climate
changing I don't think Holland will ever see much ice in the years to come.
