I can also hear thunder here on the other side of the Pennines, looking at
the latest radar it could be the same storm, which appears to be intensifying PKH Brierley, S York's "Lockzie" wrote in message ... In the last few minutes I can here rumbles of thunder coming closer Regards Lockzie |

... In the last few minutes I can here rumbles of thunder coming closer Regards Lockzie I'll join this thread , Leeds 00:10 BST Appears to be an intense thunderstorm with at least 3 cells across the sw - e sky. Now frequent distant rubbles of thunder and quite a lot of visible fork lightning c-c and c-g near the horizon. Storm appears to be approaching from the south but clouds that are visible don't seem to be moving. BrianT |

Time 0145 - WoW. Just had a cracking storm, not finished yet. I jumped out of bed with the noise of the thunder Torrential rain for about 5 minutes Appears to be passing now In Stafford we had some weak electrical activity around 2100 last night, off to the north. Oddly, the wind was from the south so the storm must have kicked off after having passed directly over me. Could see forked lightning but it appeared to be cloud-cloud, not cloud-ground. Couldn't hear the thunder. I'm convinced that Stafford has its own micro-climate. I think RAF Stafford fiddle with it :-) Jim -- Find me at http://www.ursaMinorBeta.co.uk "Brace yourself, this might make your eyes water." |
