Conditions were very poor and we all had trouble staying airborne. Then one pilot gleefully announced over the radio that he was climbing slowly in smoke on the northeast outskirts of Oxford. We left him to it for a while (nobody joined his thermal) but finally somebody had to spoil his fun by advising that he was using the smoke from the Crematorium! Jack |

It looks like sunlight reflected off a lorry (truck US) to me. There is a standing cloud that looks just as striking over the Deeside power-station somewhere near Flint ifcr. From the other side of the hill -just in-land from Rhyl, it looks like a volcano venting. The weather has to be just like that on the link though. -- Posted via Mailgate.ORG Server - http://www.Mailgate.ORG |
