Default An appeal. Can we please stop saying "dumbing down"

I'm really irritated by bandwagon terminology.
Words and terms like

Genre
Dumbing down
Choices
Needs
Luvvvverrley
Embrace
Global warming
Ethnic
Culture
Wind chill
Target
BBC

Should be banned with a sentence of death imposed on the feeble mutterings
of such crap.

Then don't read them, and if your hear them on TV or radio, turn the sound
down. Alas you (nor I) are not in a position to say what terminology anyone
can/should use.
