Default Snow ramping, not by me though

There is a bit of snow ramping going on by the independents. I am not
getting drawn into it. No, its not because I am stand offish. It is because
everytime someone gets over excited by cold weather we all get disappointed.
Onto more important bits. This calm quiet December is getting quite
interesting, already a third of the way through the month and all the
precipitation I have had here is a little drizzle.

Hi, Paul,

Without doubt! My daughter is to pick up at Darlington station on
Friday, transport to Copley, then a return to a party in Darlington,
pick up in the early hours and return to Copley.
I looked at the chart and think it's a definite by the law of Sod.

Best wishes,

With 850hPa temperatures between 0 and MS5 degC and a strong gradient I
would not think any frontal preciptation would fall as snow, unless above
1000m. In the convective situtation behind it's a different matter.
There's nothing to worry about there, let the party go on !

i don't mean to be rude, but if you want to keep hold of sanity don't
read TWO forums

i'm reading stuff like

"thanks to metcheck, it's looking good for the end of next week?"

crystal ball time again eh?
or maybe Bond makes our weather, is really a God of some description

there's just no educating some people

1) no-one really knows what it'll be doing by the end of next week

2) that is like thanking the lottery company for the win you've yet to
have

Bah, fiddlesticks, had enough of this utter rubbish

What i always say, if people start getting excited about what weather
model+2 or 3 weeks show then
i predict i'll end in tears most of the time

I realise what we have right now is boring to some people, just that i
think some people do not keep their feet
on terra firma

Hi, Joe,

The party will go on alright. She won't notice road conditions. It's
just Victor Meldrew here. ):-(

..... plus if you remember, earlier in the winter you said you didn't like
cold weather because of the cost of heating oil.;-(
