What a waste of money.

I'd like to know how much.

In this New-Zealand paper

http://www.stuff.co.nz/stuff/0,2106,...1a1860,00.html

they talk about multi-million dollar deal (presumably nz dollars = £0.39)

All,

A bunch of us from over at the BBC weather forums have got a petiton going
to show the BBC that there "are" people who care about detailed weather
information on public service broadcasting.

It's moderate aims are to get the BBC to:

1. Show isobar charts including weather fronts and pressure readings.

2. Show numerical wind speeds and directions, even for winds less than 5mph.

3. Use a map where equal emphasis is given to the view of the whole of the
UK.

4. Pace any animated forecasts slow enough so that the viewer can easily
follow the moving images and changing time information.

If you are interested you can sign it here.

In it's first 5 hours today 180 people have signed it.

Chris
