Default SEVERE Storm Peterborough !!

heard rumours that funnel clouds were likely to develop around the south
east today, sounds like a few were trying to develop up in peterbourgh then!

Massive storm here near Peterborough, giant hailstones, the ground is
white looks like an inch of snow !!!

Not just Peterborough. I know of several cyclists in mid-Norfolk who got
pelted by significant chunks of hail this afternoon, metaphorically
drowned in the torrents out of the sky, and many a puncture was sustained
due to flints & stones in run-off from the fields, including a certain
offspring who punctured on way from HQ to start of time trial. Indeed many
a narrow lane was turned into a river bed (not joking!).

Lovely rainbow though :-)

Cheers.

Sounds possible. Before the hail fell I saw the clouds were quite low and
certain bit looked like they were moving a lot faster than the rest.
Couldn't see any particular circular motion but when the hail fell we
couldn't see more than anout a car length in front of us.
