Not sure if my list is up to date (JC Webb & GT Meaden, Weather,
September 2000), but for the 19th of June, I have the record as 32.8°C (presumably a conversion from °F) which has stood since 1893 (Southampton). From latest observations, this looks under threat. -- FAQ & Glossary for uk.sci.weather at:- http://homepage.ntlworld.com/booty.weather/uswfaqfr.htm [ with Search facility ] and http://booty.org.uk/booty.weather/metindex.htm |

Question For Philip Eden
Does a rooftop reading qualify for setting a new record ? Thanks Paul "PJB" wrote in message ... 33.1C recorded at 15Z "Martin Rowley" m wrote in message ...
