Default Date temperature record??

Not sure if my list is up to date (JC Webb & GT Meaden, Weather,
September 2000), but for the 19th of June, I have the record as 32.8°C
(presumably a conversion from °F) which has stood since 1893
(Southampton). From latest observations, this looks under threat.

I won't start another thread. I'll use this one. 33.1C at 1.30 currently
now 32C. There must be plenty of you out there with a 32C or higher. Not bad
for June 19th.

Currently 30.9C in the room I am typing this - fan pointing right at me.

Question For Philip Eden

Does a rooftop reading qualify for setting a new record ?

Thanks
Paul

Paul, no it won't. Not least because the successive lists
produced by Webb and Meaden over the years
specifically exclude rooftop sites -- and all other
non-standard sites.
