Our Planet Earth From Space:
On this website you find a selection of 4 views
of Earth from Space, updated within the past 20
minutes.
You can see visible satellites in Europe, current
cloud coverage, earthquake activity, hurricanes,
active volcanoes and the moonphase.

If you would like any of the images permanently on your desktop as
wallpaper, continuously updating (every 15 minutes or so) download
DeskCam at:
http://www.deskcam.net/download.php
And install it. Once it has installed, open the satellite image
webpage and click on the image you want. Once the large image has
loaded right click on it and select properties - drag the cursor over
the URL of the image and click - copy.
You can now add the image to DeskCam by right clicking on the taskbar
"camera" icon, selecting camera list then add. Paste the image URL
in the box and set the title and update time.
The only downside is the usual one about Windows wallpaper using up
processor time, but I thinks it's worth it to have constant access to
a worldwide satellite image.
