Default [OT] meteor at 10pm. Luton

Certainly hadn't thought of mentioning it, but since you report a
meteor today...
I was out checking out the wind and cold earlier today at about 15:45
MET, here in Norway. A spot near to the sea, on a 'ness', sort of.
No people, cars around, didn't even see birds, very cold wind at
around 0 deg C. No snow then. As I was not really dressed for the
harsh cold, I just took a short walk down to look at the wind and
waves.
Walking back from the sea, on a narrow road, with two fields on both
sides of me, I suddenly heard a low 'chuck'(?), about 10-30m away from
me. I thought nothing about it at the instant, what was that really? A
moment later I thought - but that sounded just exactly like ... a
small stone/object at some speed, penetrating soaked ground!??
I later thought - are some pranksters playing around with me, shooting
with their air guns? But again, this is a quite a desolate place,
especially at those weather conditions, I hardly ever see people
there.

I must confess, I'm really quite interested in meteors and astronomy,
so I got to be critical of my own, ... well wishes in this matter.
Still, it did sound exactly like a small stone falling from a great
height.
Any other meteor occurences today/ or at this date?

Well, 2204, to be precise. Seemed to travel from near the
zenith to the horizon due east ... seen through several
street lites, so it must have been bright. I was very
surprised.
