- And on Mon, 22 Dec 2003 13:15:32 +0000 (GMT), it was spake thus said in message "Dave Liquorice" :
BOTH WAYS AT A174 [LOFTUS]
HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS BOTH WAYS ON A174 LOFTUS BANK AROUND
SKINNINGROVE ROAD. (BBC Travel)
Loftus bank is a reasonably steep hill down and then back up with a
sharpish double bend over a bridge at the bottom to cross a river (the
railway is at the top...). I should imagine it's "interesting" in
times of heavy frost if untreated. Probably less than 1/2mile in
total.
I know it well Dave, I want both ways down it yesterday on the way to
Staithes... it was a rough old day !
