Why is it that Met Office customer services can't answer a simple
straight question? I sent them an email asking why on their webpages the
weather radar coverage doesn't include the Channels Isles, even though
there's a radar there (as seen on the tv broadcasts).

What's all this about? Can anyone else answer my question without this
pointless bureaucracy?

The Channel Islands is currently covered (just about) by radars from
the UK mainland, the C.I. station has been offline for a long time. If
you want coverage south of the C.I., and a better service (for you)
than the free Meto and BBC radar services, you could subscribe to
www.avbrief.co.uk, I think it's around £20 per annum and shows beyond
the French channel coast at 15 minute intervals with 15 minute delay.
