Midnight to midnight Paul. It's the way I began in 1993. I just missed out

With the temp currently -7.8°C I'm certain this will be an ice-day, even if
I did jump the gun a little early.
Well I've tried reading at all sorts of times and in all sorts of ways
to get some decent low temperatures, makes no difference! Not even a
wet thermometer on the ground gets me an ice day. Lowest minimum this
winter to date is -1.3 degrees
Minimum last night +2.5 degrees, maximum today +6 degrees, currently
+3.5 *in clear skies and a light Easterly to calm. Bit of excitement
yesterday, though...the rain nearly turned to sleet for a while!
Clearly you need to move if you do want an 'ice day'. I reckon we've
had one today in Fife, and there is a dusting of dry snow outside now -
somewhat more than in the recent photo!
