Default North Texas: Mild and Dry .. very dry

Just been looking, in here and from other sources, at the recent
weather in Britain.... (shudder).

It's mid afternoon in north texas on the second day of the New Year,
and the temperature outside is 77F; dry with light variable wind.
Last night it drops to the low sixties F, should be the same tonight.
The rain promised for last night did not materialize, so another
day of near-drought conditions.
Sunday, we are told, it will get much colder ... but they forecast that for
today. Couldn't forecast what day Christmas Day will fall on, that lot.

When I've posted this I intend to drag the old garden seat out of
the garage, and sit for a while putting away a
few hairs of the dog ...
It's a hard, bleak life out here in the colonies, but one tries to face it
with stoic imperturbability.

Happy (and a non-extreme weather) New Year to all from a tax exile!
