Snowing very lightly as of 00.01 GMT. Clouds thin enough to see
the moon's glow through, and if it weren't actually snowing I
wouldn't know they were snow clouds at a glance. Temp 0°C.

A couple of hours of light to moderate snow this morning (from around
5am to 7am GMT) left a nice dusting (0.5cm at most), though it's pretty
much all gone now, even though the temperature is still only 2°C. As
Dave C and Edmund Lewis suggest elsewhere, the quick thaw may well be
down to relatively warm soil.
