Default It hasn't amounted to much but the hype was good

"lawrence Jenkins" wrote Overall very dissapointing so far. Any snow
falling melts faster than can be
topped up. It practically snow all through the night here in SE London,
by noon all bar a few high sheltered north facing patches survived.

Here, more out in the country, we had something similar, but this teatime
a few heavy snow showers covered the roads, grass and roofs and then we
got a decent frost. It all looked very good as the sun went down and I've
just been out for a walk (22.30 hrs) - there are sparklingly frosty paths
and roads, which really *crunch* underfoot, fields white with snow under
the full moon (with bow), and practically no breeze.

All-in-all, it's a traditional winter's night here. It does me good to
see it again.
