Not the case this time Martin! Just driven down from same Langdon Hills
where it has been snowing moderately and continuously now for about 4 hours
and it just will not stick! Temp at 30m asl is 1.7C so will be colder at the
100m there.

Quite a bit of solar radiation gets through the clouds. To get accumulation
you
need intensity and duration. These 15 minute showers are just not enough.
