What's this got to do with today's hyperboled storm. Every thing as far as
I'm concerned. The sheer fear of litigation. Health and safety has gone mad.
So as far I'm concerned today was all about over reaction to protect ones
backs.

I don't think I have warned of super-storms. I don't believe global warming
will bring them, any more than I believe that the EC will turn into a
super-state! What you will get is much more rain, especially in the winter as
we move more towards a Mediterranean climate with very wet winters.

I agree with you that the met. men and women were probably covering their
backs, but they don't seem to be doing that wrt. global warming. Perhaps
the reason they ignore clinmate change is that they know when it kicks in,
and starvation roams the streets, whether they predict it or not, they will
still
have to fight for every scrap of food like everyone else!
