Temperature here in Luton, some 4km NW of the airport, was
static at about 4.5 till 1345 with intermittent rain, but since then
the temperature has fallen fast ... now 1.7C at 1505, but the rain,
sadly, has stopped, at least for the time being.

1515: 0.9C, light rain and snow, vis 1600m
1530: 0.1C, mod snow, vis 800m, trying hard settle.
1535: minus 0.1C, mod snow, vis 600m, beginning to settle, car
already covered.

1630: minus 0.1C, light snow, vis 1600m. Light covering (under
half a cm).

finally stopped about 1700. Temp now(1720) +0.4C.
