And another one - just. Max temp today -0.1C.

We had a real one today as well, max -0.4C.

Just a few light snow showers today, ...

Been something in the air continuously since yesterday evening and
many heavy showers of snow. When it's snowing conditions are not nice
out, not a general blizzard as the wind hasn't been strong enough or
the visibility low enough.

... still about 7cm level snow, where the wind hasn't managed to
shift it, ...

Exposed areas of that had 15cm+ yesterday have been scoured back to
12mm of rough ice. The rough grass of the paddock had around 20cm
yesterday it's now 30cm+.

and some good knee-deep drifts where it has.

Drifts are now growing such that any bump in the snow less than 50cm
isn't a drift. The drifts are well over a metre deep and are starting
to seriously grow away from walls on the lee sides level with the
tops, be the wall 3' or 8' high with drop or not.

The ploughs have been doing a sterling job all last night and today
but in places they are only just keeping the roads passable, even
coming through every hour or two. In these places it's essentially
white out with so much spin drift in the air and fresh white snow
every where on the ground. Visibility hard to estimate but 15' could
be optimistic...

Currently: -0.6C F4 NE

Wind has dropped from F5 to F6 in the last hour, snowing quite hard
now and with less wind building up rather than badly drifting.
